Abstract: |
By integrating TRIZ methodology into the improve phase of the Lean Six Sigma approach as a quality improvement strategy, this study attempts to devote to better process improvement to ensure high productivity and effectiveness, low waste of waiting time for the unnecessary inspection/transportation during the operation system, more effectively in the improvement plan which make process system become more stability and reliability. The corresponding design procedures and prediction models are provided.
Further on, a case study on the Coffee Company is discussed with emphasis on the Robusta coffee process area. The result shows that the improved prediction models successfully reduces the waste of waiting time for inspection (46.54%) and the transportation during the operation system (38.12%). That leads to reduce the Non Value Added time (38.12%).
