Abstract: |
Concrete is an adaptable material for civil engineering construction. It is a mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. At the moment construction industry is in necessity of outcome cost operative materials for increasing the strength of concrete structures. This study mainly focused on the use of waste plastic bags (Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)) in concrete. Waste plastic (LDPE) mix in concrete with or without super plasticizer. Cubes and Cylinders are casted with 0%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, and 1% (by weight) with plastic waste. Samples were tested for the Compressive strength of Concrete with plastic waste as aggregate was observed which shows a good strength gain. All samples were tested after curing age of seven and twenty-eight days. |
