Abstract:
Human resource management plays a pivotal role in managing an organization’s most precious assets: “the employees”. There is data to suggest that a company’s sales department gives a better overall performance than other departments due to its performance-based incentives. The HR professional should play a crucial role in motivating the employees by making efforts to provide incentives for the employees, either in financial, psychological, or physiological form. Nowadays, financial incentives are not a primary motivating factor for the employees. This paper deals with the means in which HR managers can play a pivotal role in keeping the employee motivation high; thereby increasing the productivity and overall output. The paper also analyzes various types of financial, psychological, and physiological incentives, which can be used in motivation.
