Abstract:
ABSTRACT Numerical investigation of forced convective flow in a 2-dimensional microchannel. This investigation is analyzed with air as a base fluid studying the influence of turbulence model by using "Finite Volume Method (FVM)". The heat flux is set on the lower wall of duct and the top is insulated. The temperature distribution range from ambient temperature (300 K) to 322 K and the ribs may enhance the heat transfer because of reverse re-circulation of flow inside finned channel (entropy). The Reynolds number range is from 300 to 8850 for ratio of groove width (B) to channel height (H) was used 0.75. The fluid that used in this paper is air. Keywords: Forced convection, Triangular ribs channel, Heat transfer, 2-D flow
